COACHING WITH RICHARD JANES at ST. MELLION GOLF CLUB on 12TH MARCH Richard Janes, the new head professional at St.Mellion, held the 1st coaching day of the year. There were 6 sessions each demonstrating a skill. The 1st was for short, mid and long irons which was followed by fairway woods and driver. After a break the sessions continued with pitching and chip and run with high chips followed by bunker shots. Finally the short game was ended by putting from 6 and 25 feet. Each session finished with a competition of the skill with only 3 balls, awarding points to each player. The points were totalled making a winner of the overall skills. Eugenie Knight, a new member of Carlyon Bay, won a County Voucher for being best over the 6 skills. |
